Insulating roof made of steel with Multi-slip Protection
It has 5 layers:
1st LAYER.- (External) Surrounding aluminium sheet, which can be obtained in its natural form, lacquered or in copper sheet.
2nd LAYER.- Plastic bituminous compound (plastic asphalt).
3rd LAYER.- Galvanized steel (0,5mm, 0,6mm or 0,8mm gauge sheet).
4th LAYER.- Bituminous sealer (over the one which attaches to the 5th layer of the aluminium sheet).
5th LAYER.- Surrounding aluminium sheet, which can be natural or lacquered (bottom sheet).
Galvanized steel avoids any fragility and assures mechanical resistance, which guarantees reduced thermal expansions. The protective and anticorrosive slips (bituminous compounds and sealers) coat the steel and protect it from oxidation, isolate the material from the rain and hail, and offer thermal inactivity.
The external metallic slips coat the anticorrosive layers and reflect thermal and solar radiation in natural aluminum.
Other features
The reflective power of aluminum and the thermal inactivity of the thick protective layers, strongly limit overheating, and the lower natural slip only irradiates 5% of the limited quantity of heat, which is absorbed by the aluminum slip.
The Ondulit system provides a 23.5-27.5 Db medium sound attenuation. The protective stratification absorbs the impact rainfall has on the sheet and, in that way, avoids vibrations which cause noise.
The embossed external metallic sheets and the plastic features of the coatings within their layers, have the capacity to make the effects of the differential thermal expansions of various multi-layer protection components completely compatible.
The 850 Ondulit-Coverib slabs can manufacture both concave and convex curves.
Ondulit relies on joint sealing and accessory products, which are studied for the production of roofs and walls of any shape and complexity, tiles not made of metal, hips, valleys, lateral corners etc.
